How a Jaguar Land Rover certified repair is done
Most Jaguar Land Rover vehicles are built around aluminum-intensive bodies, and Jaguar Land Rover is specific about how they may be repaired.
- Jaguar Land Rover’s repair procedures
Repairs follow Jaguar Land Rover’s workshop manual for body and paint on your exact vehicle.
- No pulling or heating aluminum structure
Jaguar Land Rover does not approve straightening damaged aluminum structure. Structural parts are replaced on an approved alignment jig, without heat.
- New, genuine structural parts
Only new genuine structural parts are used. No aftermarket, salvaged, recycled or remanufactured parts, and no salvaged airbag components.
- New fasteners
Fasteners involved in the repair are replaced, as Jaguar Land Rover directs.
- Accredited technicians
Our technicians hold Jaguar Land Rover steel and aluminum structural accreditation, renewed on Jaguar Land Rover’s schedule, plus mechanical and electrical training.
- A full diagnostic scan
Jaguar Land Rover requires a full diagnostic scan after any collision, and after work on bumpers, lamps, sensors, driver-assist cameras or a windshield with sensors.
Why Jaguar Land Rover recommends a certified repair
Jaguar Land Rover tests each vehicle as a complete structure. Aftermarket panels may not protect crumple zones or airbag sensor operation the same way.
Salvaged parts can’t be traced if a recall is issued. New genuine parts can.
Jaguar Land Rover notes that aftermarket parts may affect warranty coverage on related components.
